NOTES
1. The Erratics team in full: Rivington, Dunabin, Miliband, Khawaja, Meller, Evans, Bush, Neal,
Parsley M, Heller, Middleton G
2. Partnerships of 56 for the second wicket and 52 for the sixth helped Great Milton post a testing target.
The middle over of Martin Parsleys three-over spell featured two wides and two wickets. The final total
could have been even bigger if Giles Middleton and Richard Heller hadnt returned to the attack and
taken the last three wickets for just a couple of runs.
3. Chris Dunabin perished second ball to make it 0 for 1. But the next two partnerships were much more
profitable. James Rivington and David Miliband put on 54, and then David and Nasir Khawaja put on another
53. Felix Meller hung around while Nasir advanced the score, and all was looking pretty rosy. A target of
four and a half an over off the last twelve overs, with seven wickets in hand? very gettable. Then
N Cotterell came back for his second spell ...
Cotterells first over: Felix is caught (127 for 4).
In the next over from the other end, Nasir is stumped off the last ball (131 for 5).
Cotterells second over: Michael Evans is caught and bowled, then Matthew Neal is
caught second ball double-wicket maiden (131 for 7).
Cotterells third over: Bill Bush is bowled (134 for 8).
Cotterells fourth over: Martin Parsley is bowled wicket maiden (140 for 9).
Cotterells fifth over: a maiden. The next over from the other end is a maiden too. Just two
overs left to block out, can we escape?
Cotterells sixth over: second ball, Richard Heller is caught, the Erratics have crashed to
defeat, and Cotterell has dazzling figures in his second spell of 5.2 overs, 3 maidens,
3 runs, 6 wickets.
